 | Il Ceppo was founded in 1978 by Giorgio Imperatori, an architect and pipe enthusiast. Until 1995, when Franco Rossi, one of Ser Jacopo's esteemed masters, and his sister joined Il Ceppo Pipo, the brand was considered among pipe makers to offer "good value" pipes. The elegance and unique lines Franco brought to the company and its designs made Il Ceppo a major breakthrough. While Giorgio is currently enjoying retirement, all Il Ceppo pipes are now made by Franco and his sister Nadia.
