 | Taha Halit Yaşar, who started making pipes in 2004, tells his story in his own words: "My encounter with pipes and pipe manufacturing was completely coincidental. It wasn't planned at all. I learned prayer beads-making from Master İsmet in the Doğancılar district of Üsküdar. We were practicing the art of making prayer beads in our workshop there. One day, my master received an order for pipes from abroad. While we were wondering if we could make them or not, we realized we had become pipe makers. After my master's death, I couldn't put my hand to the tools for a while. Then they said, 'You're a professional in this business, it won't work if you don't do it,' and that's how Prof. Pipes was born." |
