Antimo Parolise, or "Mimmo" as his friends call him, is an Italian pipe maker living in Pescara whose beginnings in pipes are as eccentric as he is. A real estate agent with a passion for antiques and their restoration, Antimo Parolise suddenly decided one night that he had to own a pipe. The next day, he went to the first retailer he saw and bought his first. It was now hard to stop Antimo. Soon, realizing that smoking a pipe wasn't enough and that he needed to make his own, Parolise set to work, creating the brand "Il Ciocco." Mimmo generally favors freeform shapes in his pipes, opting for olive or briar platters, and his mouthpieces vary between acrylic and ebonite depending on the occasion.
