Gabriele Dal Fiume (Italy)

Living near Bologna, Gabriele Dal Fiume began his pipe-making journey in the mid-1990s, inspired by those quiet, elegant moments when his father and uncle would smoke together. Initially a passion for collecting, this interest evolved into a lifestyle dedicated to crafting quality pipes that could be passed down from generation to generation. Inspired by Italian traditions, Gabriele's style blends with the design aesthetics of Denmark, Japan, and the United States. Producing between 50 and 100 pipes each year, each piece reflects his personal style and dedication to the craft.

Each pipe begins with a carefully selected block of bruyer from Mimmo Romeo and is naturally air-dried for at least six years to maximize quality. Gabriele personally shapes each pipe, striking a balance between classic and original forms, opting for smooth, sandblasted, or rustic finishes based on the wood's character. Mouthpieces are hand-cut from ebonite rods and finished with Delrin tenons for added durability, a testament to his meticulous craftsmanship.

Gabriele's pipes are not just smoking tools; they are also functional works of art. Whether you're captivated by the flowing lines of the Nautilus series or the uniquely shaped, handcrafted designs, each pipe offers a unique and refined smoking experience. Explore our collection and see for yourself why Gabriele Dal Fiume has become such a respected name in contemporary pipe making.
