Danish pipemaker Mike Sebastian Bay's pipe journey begins with an extraordinary story, far beyond the ordinary. Setting out to service the pipes that held great significance for his father, Bay was led from one craftsman to another, and soon found himself in the workshop of renowned pipemaker Tom Eltang. His intimate conversations with Eltang and frequent visits to the workshop paved the way for Bay's first introduction to pipe repair and, with Eltang's support, his beginnings in producing his own pipes. Mike Sebastian Bay quickly produced original and successful designs, attracting attention not only for his talent but also for his reinterpretation of Eltang's characteristic rustication style, bringing a completely new dimension to the art form.
