 | In 1967, Preben Holm applied for an apprentice at his pipe factory, unaware that the 17-year-old would become one of Denmark's leading pipemakers. After working as chief assistant in Holm's factory for 18 years, Poul Winslow set up his own business after the factory closed. Although the initial years were challenging, he later achieved significant growth with the support of Stanwell. Winslow, who produced pipes particularly popular in the German and American markets, not only produced hand-made pipes under his own name but also offered pipe enthusiasts of all price ranges under his brand, Crown of Denmark. |
