 | Victor Rogovets is the head of the Ukrainian pipe factory Golden Gate. A prominent figure in the Ukrainian pipe community, Rogovets, who is considered honorary president by members of the Ukrainian Kiev Pipe Club, has been producing pipes for many years. In the early years, before they had access to briar and other high-quality materials, GG used wild pear, cherry, pear, and similar woods. Today, GG continues to mass-produce pipes with a substantial amount of briar. The company prefers Italian ebonite for mouthpieces, and its models are a blend of French and English classic pipe shapes, while Victor and his team successfully incorporate their own unique style into Golden Gate pipes. |
